Just obtained a Mig Welder - Mono Mig 14 for those that such things mean anything - from the usual source (ain't ebay wonderful????), and then started doing a bit of research, mainly into Gas. So...there are CO2 cylinders available...and Argon Cylinders...and mixed Argon/CO2 and....
Anyone care to enlighten me as to the uses for the various gases...and hints as to the best option for landy footwell repairs??

Argon/co2 mix is the best i've found....spits less.
As for welding thr floor.....practise...practise...practise.
