Where are the small micro switches that are used in the drives door when a EKA is done as i think my switches need a service . :( also dose the seat have to come out to remove the Becm?

Switches are within the lock, the door card off lock mech and ecu are fairly easy to get at. Take driver seat out = BECM out in a few minutes, but why would you want to do a brain transplant?

be careful if you are taking the drivers actuator out the rod that connects from the key mechanism to the actuator is held in place at the door handle with a spring washer if you try and force this the lug will snap off and you will need a new lock so take the door handle off and disconnect from outside at the door handle its the quickest way and safest. The micro switches as mentioned are in the actuator on the drivers door there are three one for the key one for door closed and one for the c/l they do go but it is more likely to be the wiring or the mechanism have a look

I have to check there is no corrosion inside the Becm and clean the termanials as its not being picked up by the faultmate and the EKA code is not working so i need to make sure the wires and linkage are set and continuity in the leads as the immobiliser wont let me start the engine, its been stood on the street now for 3 weeks or more.

Thanks Sandyt,
i remember when i had to replace the drivers actuator last year that it was better to take the handle off the door to replace the link rod. there may be too much play in the rod causing the EKA code not to read either left or right, it dose read the 4 left turns to start the EKA process off. the faultmate is not seeing the Becm just the engine ECU. :):)

I may have a similar problem as the last time I put in the EKA code it was only seeing the left turns as luck would have it I lefyt it for an hour then tried the other key stright in the ignition and she started first time subsequently the other key needed resyncing having said that havent tried the EKA code since but do have a problem with the lock so hoping it is that or the rf receiver is bolloxed lets know how you get on
