Hi all, i'm still here getting more and more mad about this sodding abs system on my '92 classic.
Right, the story so far:
had new disks, calipers and pads, went to bleed system... Abs pump packed up :doh:
found a replacement working pump after a month of searching, fitted it, went to bleed system... master cylinder siezed and some idiot had knackered the nut type thing that lets you get into it.
Finally got a new master cylinder, fitted it, bought a pressure bleeder and followed the haynes manual to the letter until i got to the point where i have to bleed the hydraulic boosters (after bleeding the pump and accumulator, the latter with the pump running) opened the bleed nipple, pressed the brake pedal fully, switch on the ignition and bled the first booster... fluid clear, close nipple..... pump starts making a god awful scratchy clicking noise as if its full of air.
If i ignore this, and continue on the power circuit, i get to finally pressurising the system and the pump doesn't cut out
Someone please help me... or failing that, anyone want to buy a cursed range rover 3.9efi???:confused2:
