LT230 input shaft for sale.

LT230 input gear. I’s in excellent condition but ideally needs the oil holes cross drilling. However despite having no cross drilled oilway, the splines are in perfect condition. No wear ridges on the drive teeth and ready to install. It’s listed on eBay with a starting g price of a tenner. Postage at cost or collect from Farnham, Surrey.

Don’t mean to put a downer on things but no one in their right mind will buy a non cross drilled input gear when you can get a cross drilled one for not much more. The non crosses drilled ones are a time bomb waiting to happen. Although you could fit the above with an oil feed plate I suppose.

Maybe you’re right, but rather than throw a perfectly good gear in the bin, I thought I’d offer it cheap. Perhaps someone has the machine tools to cross drill it?

Yeh that’s fair. Like I say could use it with an oil feed plate. Mine old one has become a rather attractive paper weight.
