Fair well, I was an early member to that forum, number 397 before its reincarnation when we all had to register again.

I still have the LRO publications from their first six years, but don't purchase the mag any more, other than the Christmas edition to get a calendar, it took me 15 years to realise that it just repeats a few of its editorials , plus it full of advertising which increases yearly :(
 
It's quite shocking how it went from so busy to dead very quickly.
I remember pre forum days when, if you had a landy problem, you had to write in with your query and they replied via the post, sometimes your query ended up in the tech page of the mag.
Life was simpler then!
 
Most of the general chit chat disappeared to facebook & twitter.
Looks like some are discussing whether it can be resurrected. Could be entertaining!
 
Appears it's all coming to nothing as the forum owners won't play.
The medical expert rustproofer is offering to host a new forum at his expense. That should be fun.

The same happened to Difflock. I joined that back in 2005. It was absolutely heaving with members online back then. IIRC there was a period of ownership change, service was disrupted, and everyone just seemed to move on. Very quiet now.
 
When i search for "lroi forum freelander" it goes to face book. Have they already closed it? Sad to see it go if it does.
