Hi there,
So been looking at getting a discovery 3/LR3 to replace my aging disco 2 for a couple of months now.
The example I'm fixed on now is a US 2006 model V8, one owner from new with 140K on the clock, going for $11,499.
Found this online earlier in the week, and although the mileage is a bit on the high side, all in all, it looks quite good and I was thinking its the one for me. Thing is, about 2 years ago, got a fleet-car tdv6 example at auction, and that turned out to be a lemon that we had to let go after less than a year, having cost a ton of cash in service charges. That coupled to the fact that there have been so many horror stories told by LR3 owners that leaves a lasting impression.
I guess I figured that most of those stories are for diesel examples, and the v8 models do not have quite as many issues, or am I wrong?
So any one of you with v8 models out there and the issues if any that you've had...

Here are a few photos of it.
