Okay, so the problem, is the following:

So i was disassembling my bulkhead to get repairs done, and discovered that my heater box ( the bit behind the lower dash assembly ) was rotten the whole way through.
So i need to get a new one. However, i cannot find one anywhere. Could you guys send me a link to one?
I am considering making a new one out of stainless steel, but if i can just source a new one, i would rather do that :).
Much appreciated.

Plenty of secondhand ones available but beware, you might be buying one just as bad as the one you already have.

New is another option (STC456), normally quite pricey but John Richards has two left at £200+VAT which is very reasonable. I would get yourself one of those and be done with it.
Depending on the heater you already have, the worst situation is that you will need new pipes (hardly expensive) and might need to change the electrical connector block (just re-use your existing one). Been there / done that, fitted a brand-new genuine parts TD5 heater to my 1986 90 a year or so ago. Bought from Keith Gott for £125, bargain or what?

I'm talking about the part that sits in behind the lower dash, that splits heat between the windscreen and the footwell. i'm sorry that i really can't be more precise, as i do not know what the part is called, or even it's shape, because obviously, it's rotten :)

I am not too sure about the paddock link, there is no photo. don't want to be spending 500 quid on the wrong part :)

I'll try and be more precise. It's the part that is behind the lower dash assembly, that splits heat between the footwell and the windscreen with the control cable. The bit where the speaker is. The part that is linked with the heater matrix via one of these: LAND ROVER DEFENDER HEATER BOX TO BULKHEAD SEAL GASKET STC952 | eBay

My vehicle is a 1986 land rover 90. so no air con, none of those complicated shabangbangs :)
Hope that helps.
Thanks

The heat director is not a part that normaly rots you may have issues with screen seals, vent seal or the seal you mention,or bulkhead its self letting in water.
