Well not really lost as i know where it is but cant get it . When i used the door light switch (courtesy) hole in the door pillar to access the bulkhead with a Schutz gun probe pipe , it kinked ? Got stuck and i ended up 6 inches missing and a right mess where it blew out the vent hole in the gun , I've tried a bore scope to see going up and down at the door pillar drain hole , It may be stuck on the top hinge bolts ? only a guess or higher up as it curves . Is there any access from behind the dash or under the bonnet or anywhere without cutting the door pillar up . Guess it won't harm anything but its bugging me .

No access in to there I'm afraid. You're probably right the hinge bolts are probably stopping it from dropping down the A frame. You could take them out, one hinge at a time and you may be able to persuade it to drop. You would still have to get it passed the bulkhead to outrigger bolt though. Not sure how wide your pipe is to get it passed there. :(

Not sure what its made of?, a long reach extending type magnet any use? rescued many a captive nut from mine when putting new hinges on thro the hinge holes

Hi , no magnet as its a brass end and made of plastic 10mm approx at a guess its up my lockup so cant measure at the min , It should ?? , fit through the door pillar bottom drain hole if it gets there , Good to know i can gain access via the hinge bolt holes .

Don't forget that with long bolts running through hollow sections they frequently have tubes in the hollow section to stop the section being crushed when the bolts are tightened - certainly the case on my RRC front door hinge bolts - so bolt removal may get you nowhere.

IIRC that's the case with the bulkhead to outrigger. However, not with the hinge bolts which fit in to a nut that's clipped in to the hole. It's a decent sized, rectangular hole, so pipe should come out of it.
