I test drove this yesterday, although it is very tidey, underneath looks very tidy, it looks like it has been raised, also it has some monster tyres fitted!! when i drove it it felt a little 'twitchy'...i think thats the word i'm looking for...anway, with these tyres fitted, can you run around town ok? other than the 'twitchy' feel the motor seemed great.

I current drive a BMW 3 series, worse car i've ever had, so maybe i'm just used to the ride in that....

Anyway details are;

03 plate with 90k...ignore the price as i'm not paying that for it

Any advice greatly appreciated

twitchy?Walk away its a wrongun.Coul be damaged steering from offroading, or a write off in a crash.

insas shouldnt make the car feel twicthy.Might be crap for stopping and road noise but not twitchy.

Is that one of those stinking pine air fresheners hanging off the rear view? If it is its for a reason, to mask the smell of dog, spew, or engine, transmission smells. Bin it before you test drive.

lol, i think it is, its defo had dogs in it theres one of them bar things between the rear seats and boot area

when i looked underneath i thought the front axel looked brand new as did the suspension all round, this still had all the yellow paint on them

Hi nathan, I'm unsure what I'm trying to describe, I think it's due to the suspension and the three, I'm used to the 3 series which is quite a solid ride, I think I'm goin to have another test drive, the road noise reminds me of my hm forces days, lol.. My 3 tear old loves it

best test drive a different one then, see if its just you being use to a car

and dont let the 3 tear old pick you a disco :doh:

Sounds to me like its been in a smah as twitchy is not good, those tyyres will give you **** stopping and a lot of noise onthe road but ntohign else.

Does it have air suspension?

Hi brainboy
I was thinking that myself, for the age of the car it looks 'very' clean and tidy underneath, maybe too good. The dealer has another disco coming on this week, it's a 7 seated auto so will give this a run, same mileage but on a Y plate

Give the other one a run, i personal prefer the manual in these have had both, but if its twitchy then in my experience only 2 things, had a knock or a leaking air bag if it has air suspension.

If its a air bag will not be twitchy all the time jsut some of it.

Check out the rear axle bushes also. My 300 was twitchy when we first got it, up until the time that the rear trailing arm to axle bracket sheared off. Had a welding job done and it right now. But as said before test drive another first
