My first landy was a disesel but my second was a 2a petrol I ran for nearly 20 years,much nicer.Like lightweights but never owned one.

Ive got the na diesel, but I have noticed how quiet and smooth a well maintained 2.25 petrol is.

Apart from better fuel economy, there's no good reason to stick with diesel.
