Hello,

Ok, got a 300tdi disco yesterday, 2 things though....

1) seeing as before i had a 200tdi, the lights on the back are different, are the rear night lights ONLY on the bumper, or are they supposed to be on the main block too with the foot break and fog lights or is all this wired up wrong?

and

2) its an M reg ES model, in the log book and MOT it says its blue...... usefull if i want a can of spray! its a very dark metallic blue, i dont have the colour/code of the paint under the bonnet (the plates missing) if anyone cud tell me what colour it is that'd be great.

thnx every1

i can't comment on the lights as i don't know. but the paint code is normaly on the Vin tag,, if not go to a bodyshop suppliers like lpp or preston paints or equivalint in you area and they have a item called a spectrogram. they put it on the body of the car and using " witchcraft " tells the the true colour of the car , they can the mix it for you in to a aerosoll or pen , or loose for spraying.

Re your rear lights I belive it's the model year that determines the set up.

It was found that when the rear door was open that the spare wheel obscured the rear light so thaere was a change to the rear lights, My 97 setup is Red lights in the body and bumper, Indicators again body and bumper. Stop lights r combined with the red body lights. Rear fog and reversing lights are seperate on the body only.

Hi mate, do a search for rear lights, you'll find a very useful thread where you'll find that there is a simple way to connect the rear lights up in the body lamp assembly, it took me about an hour to do, am just off out but will try and find it later for you if you don't find it first.

Result is that on my 98 Discovery I have the rear tail lamps lit in both the bumper and the body.

All the best
