Firstly sorry if this is in the wrong place..

I have a Light Weight 24 Volt petrol fuel guage fault,
(Reads full all the time)
I've disconnected the senders and it zeros (Reads empty) , fitted new sender and it does exactly the same...have tried it out of the tank , with an earth straight on the sender and a wire straight to the guage, ignoring the rest of the wiring and the change over switch, still the same..

With the dash out ive noticed theres no stabilizer for the guages..
is this normal on one of these?

Or are they straight 24V to the guage and then to the sender...

PS had a very bad hangover today , could this be the problem ?

any advice appreciated.. Cheers Phil..

interesting. what does the temp gauge derive its supply from as these are normally thru a stabiliser too?

Temp guage has a straight 24v supply and seems to be working ok and so does the oil temp guage although this is also stuck on max (Hot)

I.E> there is 1 24v wire comming in which links all the 3 guages..
It seems to look genuine (Dark green ,fused IGN feed).....

Cheers Phil..

Thats a very good point, I did have a look at the packaging and the unit and there does not seem to be a reference to the voltage....

Thanks for the reply Cheers Phil
try 2 in series. levels would have to rise at the same time, an obviously would not be too practical!
but if you have 2, worth a try?
