just wondering if the britpart cellular 2"inch lift kit is any good. i want to lift my discovery but i want to buy a full kit and do it in 1.if thats not a good kit what is

Have you driven it off road a lot and found there's lots of situations you're getting in where you need a little extra articulation or ground clearance?

I'm in a similar position to you and TBH I'm probably not going to lift it at all - to do so properly needs loads of parts, not just the springs and shocks. And to make best use of the extra articulation, the ARBs ideally need to come off, but at that point you are compromising on road performance even more.

Anyway, here's a useful website, see the range of stuff out there:

hate agree wiv tango van but yer need ter do it proper like i didnt ! my ol disco was like drivin a fookin stagecoach.....dont need a lift anyways just get yerself a decent set ov tyres

Have been using Britpart springs and struts for some time with no problems. But there again on road is horrid or is that a mix of suspension and Heneral tyres

does no one do a search anymore, or read one of the many '****part' debates

britpart and lifting a landy are some of the most over and over done posts

ive been on there thats where the bripart 1 is i only want to lift it 2 inch but i dnt want yto just put shocks and springs on and the britpart 1 is the only 1 i can realy find which includes everything.every 1 says there **** but every 1 says everyfins **** when they have sumfin different

WTF do ya wanna lift it for. have owned 3 disco's a 90 & a couple of 110's and never lifted any of them. and never got stuck because I grounded out? So explain the reason for lifting your vehicle. :(

there are more than just the britpart kit, if you want the 'full' suspension kit it will cost you over a grand

explain why you want all of this and we might be able to give better advice, oh and everyone says britpart is ****, terrafirma are good budget makes and OME is one of the best

I had britpart and gas shocks on the 300 (came with them) and was surprised how well they performed on and off road for a budget brand, and costing so little for the kit. I have had more probs with pro-comp than these.

But then I have heard quality with leaves can be hit and miss.

I bought an N reg discovery a few months ago with an OME 2 inch lift, no castor correction and anti rollbars removed but it seems to handle perfectly. Not much point in lifting it unless you need it, previous owner had done it to fit bigger tyres for more ground clearance.

ide only lift it if your goin to be doin more harder 4x4ing, get sum good tyres and if u wana get BIG tyres then get the lift kit, u wont need the 2 inch lift to be honest!

Dont think the OP wants to lift it to stop grounding out, more for the looks going from this post

every day only get used off road a bit but i do want to buy a hole kit

If it is just for the looks and possibly bigger tyres just get a spacer kit off fleabay, will lift it about 30-50mm and you can keep your existing springs/shockers

I have britpart cellular dynamic shocks - they are great... no issues at all.

I have britpart 2 inch 'heavy duty' springs - they are ****... on the truck 3 months and already sagging.

I only lifted it as the old springs and 2 shocks needed replacing... a lift won't effect your clearence, only big tyres do that ;)

just about every one i no that has a discovery and lifted and sed it was beter so im goin to do the same.can any one recomend a good 2 inch lift kit not just shocks and springs a hole kit
