Has anyone got a lift kit fitted to a FL1?
If so how much lift, and how much did it cost?
I'm thinking of lifting mine around 30-50mm but not sure yet.

Cheers, Mick.

I'm after preparing the FL for abit of greenlaning. I would prefer a little more ground clearance. I'm in no rush at the minute, just toying with the idea.

Mick.

What type of lift kit you running?
There's a vid on YouTube of a guy who makes his own for a terrano. He uses a spacer ontop of his coils and fits longer travel shock absorbers.
Could that type of setup work on these?
Mick.

i havent

cos it changes camber angles, suspension travel, etc - all fairly critical parameters. If yu think yu will need any more clearance, buy a fender or disco. We have std Hippoos going greenlaning with no problems.

You say, standard. How standard?
So far, my list of things I need to consider for greenlaning, are as follows,
New decent off road tyres.
Winch.
CB.
Rock sliders.
Lift kit.
Is there anything you would change on that list? Or add to it?

Mick.

no the list looks good you just need to change the 'greenlaning' to 'extreme winch challenge'

you are talking green-laning - not pay n play sites, ffs - it will cope fine as it is.
A set of AT or MT tyres will be all you need. A CB is a nice extra.

you DO realise green lanes are byeways?

Yes I do know that in law there is no such thing as a "Greenlane", it's a BOAT ( Byway Open to All Traffic).
I can acquire a set of off road tyres for nothing. I'm not certain of the sizes I can get tho. Where is a good place to start looking for the tyres you mentioned?

A guy I work with does abit off roading in Cumbria, he said he would come out with me, he's a reccy mech by trade so we should be ok when we get stuck. Other than that, it's me and the winch, but like I said, in toying with ideas. If it's not practical then it's not getting done.
Thanks for the heads up on the tyre brand, I'm off to have a look now.
