Freelander 1 Leisure battery

After my recent travels I'm keen to fit a leisure battery to my car for obvious reasons, but mainly to light the rear space, charge devices and ideally run some form of heating - just to keep the cabin moderately warm overnight.

I know very little about car electrics so I'd be keen to understand the complexities of installing a battery which might live under the drivers seat; what level of skill is required and does anyone have a better idea.

You'll struggle to get a battery of decent capacity under the driver's seat. You'll be better off fitting a couple of small batteries in the rear panels, behind the rear side trims. That's where I thought about fitting some batteries, for additional power storage. However now I'm building a Lipo portable power pack, so it's not needed now.

If you want to even just keep the chill off,a leisure battery won't be up to the job

It will if it's powering a FBH night heater, which only consumes about 5 Amps.

Whats an FBH night heater? In the process of kitting out a camper so would be interested to know.
