Sounds like we have a real problem in South Yorks, probably one gang. I hope the cops catch 'em soon.

one of the big Doncaster Landrover clubs is well known for always having stolen bits for sale.. and always worth a trip to Korc or tong on P&P days to look out for ya pride and joy been trashed to death by the thieves

Tong seem a bit more on the ball than some other pay n play sites with that kinda stuff to be honest.
Would say more likely look out for stuff thats got fresh paint n reg plates. nice clean new plastic reg plates always look a bit suspicious I reckon

just have a ride out to cowm quarry this weekend as its an end of the month swap meet p&p day not too far from bolton and the surrounding areas

a mate of mine spotted his a couple of months ago up there

All of South Yorkshire is getting hit. Averaging one a day! Apparently one gang is breaking through the left side of the vehicle using a dremmel and swapping the unit for the alarm and immobiliser for their own.
There is also a gadget which can actually be bought which plugs in to the cigarette lighter, looks like a stubby antenae but interupts the tracker signal.
I have a discovery, which do not seem to be getting stolen so often just yet, however I have just ordered a disklok and just researching one of those locks for the foot pedals.

I think it's very depressing if it's fellow Landrover "enthusiasts" that are responsible for the spate of thefts in South York's. I'd rather think of them as the enemy, criminals, scum.

The police will tell you it's organised gangs shipping the parts abroad (cos it makes their job sound dead exciting and eggsplains why they never do fookall about the thefts.) BUt in truth it's far more likely to be other Landrover owners doing the thieving.
