Landrover Freelander Windows

Hello to everyone,
I have joined this forum as i have been experiencing the very expensive costs involved with running and maintaining both my Freelanders, repair bills cost a fortune and in these lean economic times self repairs can save a fortune (with a little/lot of help from my new friends, I hope).
The cables on my window regulators have gone (HSE 54PLATE 2.0 LITRE, 5 DOOR), front drivers side and rear drivers side, so i have been looking for on this forum for self help information, which i have found and looks good (but have not attempted the repair yet). We got quoted £310 inc vat for the parts and repair by a local garage, i just find that very dear to say the motors themselves appear to be working ok.
If anyone has any guidance that may help me or know of any pitsfalls, i would be grateful for assistance.

You have 2 Freelanders?? I'm impressed...tell me, if you decided to kill yourself would you have a gun in each hand?

hmm, yes; the words "glutton" "for" and "punishment" spring to mind


petrol and matches are a good cure for most problems the freelanders tend to suffer

ask for help in the freelander section. its a common problem.
