Inspect the vehicle in daylight for any wavy body damage. Check the vehicle
height is the same at all four tyres. Inspect the tyres for uneven wear; that
will tell you if you have alignment or at least you will need new tyres. Shiny
tyres dont mean anything. Look at the disc drakes for pitting and scoring.

Ask to see the vehcile cold so you can hear if there are any sticking valves or
other noises you would be repairing later. Ask for a mechanic to see the vehicle
and ask for a compression test.

Look for rust at the lower door. Check the condition of the carpet in the
loadspace. The safari glasses leak water in. If you look thru and see water
drips, you will need to do the seals. Same with the large side windows. Any
holes in the rubber seals means replacement of the rubber seals.

Check the spot where it is parked overnight. ID your fluids underneath. Water is
usually A/C condensation, the steering hoses and pump will be leaky and need
changing unless the guy has been on top of it.

Turn on the car and take it for a drive. Thunking when turning are bad or hurt
CV joints. The vehicle will make a loud clunk when going to reverse. Nothing
wrong with that. Clicking when rolling will mean the brakes were not done right.

When the vehicle is hot, it is a very hard starter and the check engine light is
on, then you will need new oxygen sensors. They are very expensive unless you
shop around.

Anyothing more?
