Hi am still new to this thread so if i have not posted this in the right place apologies
Recently for the last few day my landy has been cutting out while driving the eml comes on then just cuts out i cant turn it of completely then start it back up straight away and all is fine but once its warm its terrible every 2 mins. Now the landy is cranking but wont start. Also my obd port is not working to get any diagnostics/fault codes please can anyone help.
Its a 2002 on a 51 plate 10p engine

There's a 3 part set of videos on You tube covering exactly this:-

When you talk of your diagnostics port not working, what code reader device are you using? The diesel Discoverys didn't become compliant with OBDII protocols until mid-2004 with the release of the Disco 3. It's for that reason so many D2 owners will say that only the Nanocom, Hawkeye or Lynx will give truthful results for DIY use.

That looks like the oil pressure switch. The wire you should be looking for would be White with a Brown tracer if it is.
If it is the oil pressure indicator switch, it won't have anything to do with you non starting, the wiring from the switch goes directly to the light on the dashboard with no electronic jiggery-pokery in between.

Ok thankyou i will take a look

Just an update the car when trying to start the eml and glow plug light comes on flashing on an off any adeas peeps
that's not good, it's or a bad earth to the ECU, or a bad contact on it's feed or it's fubar... this issue needs dedicated tester, unless it's not weak battery or untightened clamps on it

Update i have taken the cps out and i think its this as ive just noticed my fuel preasure regulater is leaking and has been going directly onto the wiring so im of to get a new sensor, plug and wire

The battery is fully charged terminals are tight ill check the earth wires and what is fubar

Even if the CPS is the root of the trouble, flashing MIL and glow plug warnings are completely out of any protocol and it's clear sign of ECU missbehaviour
