    hi guys does anybody know anywhere I can download any software for diagnosing my freelander like torrents etc? I have a generic scanner and its sh*t , I have srs light on and my hill descent light is on too and wanting to reset tht srs etc and se what happens , I have got a universal obd cable from teebay this one - V1.5 ELM327 Mini OBDII OBD2 USB Universal Cable Car Diagnostic Interface Scan UK | eBay

    hioping that this will work with any landrover software . id appreciate any help as I don't have a clue on the best software .

    I have used Vauxhalls diagnostic software opcom years ago so I do have a little experience using software

    How old is the freelander?

    From what ive found will searching for something to work with a td5...

    You can get software for newer landrovers - 2004 ish >> but you need a special cable/geniune vcm/clone vcm and you can get it to load work quite easilly - the cable/vcm is the hard bit.

    Before 2004 that theres little chance of finding anything that'll work. Id say your cheapest option is a local with a professional code reader and cough up some ££.

    Mines a 53 plate 2004 model
    I've purchased this from eBay and hoping it works as it says

    it's just come today and I'm just setting it up as we speak see how it goes and if I can diagnose and programme fobs etc with it

    That ebay advert does say that it's compatible with all Land Rover models 2005-2012.

    You need a nanocom, Pre 2005 are not OBD compliant

    must admit as mines a 2002 td4 so not obd2 compliant i bought a hawkeye as I knew then at least it would work

    has anyone else managed to get other software , diagnostic readers to work on the pre obd2 plse , just out of curiosity
