Evening! After searching on here, google, youtube and millions of other sites i can't find anything so last resort i thought il make a thread.

Turn the key as normal and nothing, no clicking or anything just dead. All the lights on my dash come on as usual, battery is fine, even hooked up another fully charged battery and still nothing.

The same thing happened a few months ago off roading when i got stuck in a bog, luckily i was at a pay n play and some guy came over and said i had a loose wire to my starter and boom started up fine and worked since, then off roading again a couple weeks back it wouldn't start but then managed to start back up again after having a mess swapping batteries n checking connections etc but started up with my battery and off i went!

Im meant to be taking my 90 to my new unit tomorrow to keep her stored inside and do some jobs over summer ready to play again in the winter but i can't start her, been halfords after work as well and bought some terminals and 'sorted' the 'loose wire' but still nothing.. Has anyone had a similar situation or knows anything i could do to try an eliminate problems? thanks, josh

Possibly ignition switch, although there could be other options.

Could be earth strap from body to engine.( exhaust side of engine, block to engine mount is where ine is)

Only know because my conversion wouldnt start and i jad missed that off when i put the engine in on wed..
(See thread one job leads to another if you are bored)
Had the same fault as you.

I will check that tomorrow morning! Can you send me a link to that thread please (i am very bored haha)

i took a pic earlier of the wire that was loose, it attaches to the starter with a terminal. when i touched this by accident on the starter I'm pretty sure i heard a click now I'm thinking about it, it sparked but then i touched it on one of the nuts and i heard a clicking noise? I'm pretty new with all this as you can tell but i wanna try sort it myself if possible

Sorted now thank god! My mate gave me a pull me and i bump started it, give the key a couple turns whilst started and the starter engaged. Do you think my starter might be on its way out?
