hi, i'm a newbie here. i've been looking for a 4x4 and during my search i came across this article from rolls-royce.
it states that RR are going to be producing a luxury 4x4 which will be the best thing every for off roading. it wont be one of these porche type things that are no good away from the tarmac but a proper off roader to rival even the mighty hummer.
it is roumoured to have a v12 8.5 liter engine coupled to a 6 speed auto permanent 4wheel drive g/box with auto locking diffs. they have also invented something called 'ACS' which i believe means automatic comfort suspension. it says that this system will detect if you are off road on either mud, snow, rocks or slippy grass. and adjust to the speed you are traveling at so to give the best possible comfort.
you can also adjust tire pressure from inside. both deflate or inflate the tires which will be specials built by dunlop.
all steps are self stowing and even the snorkel is hidded in the fender only to telescopicly raise at the touch of a button. all in all its sounds like a wonderful machine.
of course it goes withoput saying that the interior will be of the highest quailty leather and rosewood.
the price for this marvel is going to be around $160,000
the specs go on and on and as soon as i can find out how to scan it in i will post the article from the mag.
one last thing it has a hydralic which as standerd and comes with a pair of barbour wellington boots
happy motoring
