Basically, I'm starting up my own small tree surgery business. I'd pretty much got my head set on selling my car, selling my defender and buying a discovery... That way I had comfort but also a work truck that I could use as my every day car.

Buuuuuut, I just went outside and looked at my poor 110 and thought, I don't wanna sell my baby! :(

So now it's got me thinking... I could spend the money from my car (£1200) on my defender!

First off, I would want to sort the cab out (it's a pickup)! I'm thinking, line it all as it's bare metal, half decent seats, sort a stereo out. Any links, tips etc here would be brilliant!

I think I'll treat her to a service and fix any little niggles that need it while I've got some spare dollar and then I'd like to prep it more for offroad - lift kit, tyres, winch bumper etc etc...

I know money is soon spent on these vehicles and I'd like to buy what I can second hand and refurb if needs be.

Guess I'm just after some inspiration! Any advice, photos or links to stuff would be awesome.

Why as a tree surgeon would you even want a disco?
I think every one I see in this area drives a defender Im sure with good reason

I'm not even sure myself lol! I worked with a chap the other day and he used one, just seemed a handy truck to pull the trailer plus keeps all the tools dry (all rear seats removed).

Yeah, got my mind set on keeping my old girl now... Didn't want to let her go anyway lol!
So I'm making a little shopping list on paddocks.
When changing the belt, is it best to buy genuine?
I need a fuel tank but it can't figure out which one I need, where would my chassis number be on my truck?
