Land Rovers on film

A little project for Heidi's website.

Do any of you out there remember seeing LRs in feature films? I'm trying to compile a list and I've got stuck at 4 I'm not that worried about how good/bad the films are, if they've got Rovers in 'em they'll do for me (he he). You know how aircraft nuts just LOVE Top Gun, simply because it's got some great flying scenes in it (some people might say the Tomcats are the film's best actors...)

Land Rovers in films?

You've got one of the best films every made, "The Italian Job", there's a couple of "Series" in Ace Ventura 2, James Bonds Die another day, The living Daylights, View to a kill and a open top Range rover in Octopussy. RR P38 in Eyes wide shut, Layer Cake and Tomorrow never Dies. And who can forget that Defender in Tomb Raider and the 101 they used as base vehicles in Judge Dredd!

As for TopGun, I agree! The planes were the Stars!

oh oh don't fergit 'the one that got away' or bravo 2 0' what about oh ship i can't remeber the name of it 'somebodies game ' it was set in ireland yeah harry's game that was it. infact any of the flims about ulster and its troubles. there was also some in dr who and quatermass. i think i seen one in blackhawk down aswell if i think of more i'll let ya know

x files , and i don't know if you count this but in zulu when the priest is leaving you can just see a landy on the far hillside. some say its a transit but i doubt that.

Well, my landrover has not been in a film (i dont think), however it was used to transport pearce brosnan around whilst filming a James Bond film a few years ago before we owned it. As it was owned by a company called Film 4x4.
This doesnt really help you, but i thoght i would just mention it lol.

Essex boys cracking british gangster film. Fetures a 90 chaising a mercedies though a marsh, also a p38 getting shot up [and its occupents]. Also the other half has just remined me that there are land rovers in Emmerdale too!

there's a series 3 rear axle stood up behind the dead dude during the opening credits of black hawk down

and i think there's a rangie in 'rougue trader'

How about "The gods must be crazy" no thats a Landy film. Definate positive.
