Land Rover Discovery 4 HSE SDV6 2014

Hi I have a problem with the gear shift stuck in drive, I can't start engine as won't go into Park. Is there a way of over riding gear shifter. I had a problem a few days ago where gear shift was stuck in park but seemed to correct itself
