Check EGR Valve and Turbo Hoses also.
could the wastegate give me this problem if it's not coming in has it should thanks
that would be to easy and expensive, don't have a fully stocked garage, trying to keep the bills down

I've just said this elsewhere on this site, guessing will have you chasing your tail. The L322 demands you make friends with someone who has diagnostics. The clever guys, like Saint, can give you educated guess, after educated guess, but diagnostics will be advised at some point.
A decent auto-electrician will only charge £30 -£50 to check it. Treat it to a little love!

Possible a stuck waste gate, but you say it gets better once it reaches a certain rev band.....
The TDV8 is known for munching turbos.....but check all other reasons for low boost first.
