L322 TD6 whistling turbo

Tested an L322 earlier and when acccelerating then backing off the pedal, there was a quick 'whistle', Im guessing from the turbo (its TD6) is this normal?

Now that you've asked the question, I'm hoping it is as my TD6 does the same... I've always assumed that it was normal.

I know from my mis-spent youth driving petrol turbo charged cars tuned ones would whistle as the pressure built up, then was 'dumped' once you backed off the accelerator, never had a turbo diesel before so was wondering if its normal

It depends what tune it whistles....
