Hi guys

After spending £3500 on a replacement gearbox for my 2005 vogue, I sent it for an MOT. It passed which was great, been having trouble with a battery keep going flat, so asked for a replacement battery.

Previously used to have a problem with the stereo/sat nav turning itself off. The screen would go black and It would stay off for five mins and then switch itself back on. Was a bit annoying but I could live with it.

Since the battery replacement has been done, it only displays the LandRover home screen and the on off knob flashes, nothing will make it come on.
Have just tried doing a reset by shorting the battery terminals, but it has made no difference.

Am in the process of checking all the terminals in the boot for corrosion, but just wondered if anyone knows of any other causes? Would a simple fuse blow cause the same problem? Which fuses should I check?

Any help would be gratefully received

Kind regards
Chris

Any ideas anyone?

If the garage did not follow proceedure and wait for the red light to go out on the SATNAV unit in the boot before they disconnected the battery, they may have fecked the flash memory.

Thanks guys, after scanning through the link I have a few more things to try. Fingers crossed !!

This is what mine looks like

There are talks on other threads about swapping connectors around etc, but I find that mine are not interchangeable, well at least they don't seem to be!

Have tried removing fuses with no joy, also tried a reset by shorting the battery terminals (without the battery of course)

Can anyone suggest anything else to try?
