Looks like the Chinese satnavs that are on eBay for the l322
But as far as in know they only work if you have the standard 6 speaker system in which the speakers are powered from the head unit. The later vogue sat nav unit won't work in the standard HSE range rover as the cabling is wrong however the Chinese units also won't work with the vogue model because of the amps for the speakers

Was going to buy one but I have the upgraded 11 speaker system with an amp in the boot so it wouldn't work.

So I wired in an aux point into the head unit and I'm now jamming my tunes from my iPhone through the oem unit which sounds the dogs!
No need to upgrade now :D:D

This is a Dynavin E39 Touch Screen System, Ive fitted to my 2003 L322 TD6 SE, its comes with micro SD card with maps of Europe, it has bluetooth capability & Ive fitted the microphone by the rear view mirror, it has the capability to be 3G internet & TV capable, at extra cost, you can plug in a rear view camera, but Ive just left it as standard, it comes with the cables for Ipod, I bought a USB cable from Maplin & they both sit in the glovebox. The Range Rover L322 2002 - 2005 SE/HSE model has a BMW Wiring system & is similar to the E39 5 series & E53 X5, the supplied Dynavin unit has all the connector cables, it just plugs into the standard wiring loom. The steering wheel controls work with the supplied canbus controller, just connect it to the IR female connector on the head unit, You do not have to splice any cables, or be an electrical wiz to do this install, but this is fitted to replace the basic CD Radio speaker combo that came with the SE/HSE model, So I cant comment on replacing a Model equiped with the standard SatNaV.
It took approx 6 hours to install, I used the Powerfull Uk you tube videos to see how the dashboard came apart, I also used this opportunity to replace the standard silver plastic dashoard trims, with some Cherry wood items from a Land Rover Breaker The cage that holds the original BMW Head unit, needs to be modified, I used a small grinder....Carefully. Fitting it ll back together is fiddly, but if your patient, it will look pretty good.
Dynavin, seem to make a lot of double din aftermaket SatNav units for BMW, Audi & BMW models & are pretty popular in America. I bought this one of Ebay from an official sellor, Negoiated a good discount 10%. There not cheap, but is an easy upgrade for those of us who have the poverty spec 02-05 L322"s.

Seems it's not so easy to fit to a Vouge, need to install a new loom to the boot so would be quite a big job then.

I guess you would also lose the computer features like MPG and range etc?

Prepared to get an electrican to fit one to my 04 L322 VOGUE - am I wasting my time ? can it be done ? thanks

how did you wire a aux point into the unit? i have a 54 reg vogue touch screen unit can it be done on that?

Ahaah I'm sure you would like to know ! Hehe
Not tested it on the vogue yet but if you have the 6cd changer in the glove box I'm 90 percent sure it will work

otherwise i have found a lead on the internet that plugs straight in to the loom and lets you even change tracks using your steering controls - might even get one for myself - dont think it will work with the vogue tho.

Yes i have the 6 cd changer in the glove box and i can already use my steering wheel to control my cd/radio ect. This is standard on a vogue.

well its just a case of cutting 3 cables and soldering on a 3.5mm jack lead. you will have to live without your cd changer or solder in a switch but who needs cd's when you can have thousands of mp3's ? lol

this will only play your tracks through the stereo - the link i posted before just plugs into the loom without any soldering and it actually charges your ipod, plays the music and lets you change songs using your steering controls. although i dont think it will work with the vogue - if you can live without remote controls and charging then the solder route is the easiest and cheapest. im living with mine like this untill i can afford the £100 box in the link:p

Anyone else fitted a a dynavin E39 since?

Ive a 02 hse with dodgy pixels on the head unit and I'm looking to hook up an ipod too and this seems to kill two birds with one stone....anyone any wise words of wisdom before I order one??

Yep
I ended up fitting a similar unit to my HSE.
It's a Chinese unit off eBay but it looks the same.

I also have the 11 speaker amped system and it works fine with that.

Had to cut the stereo dash cradle a little to get the unit to fit, but it's fitted now and it works great. Steering controls, sat nav, DVD etc..

There £400 on eBay

cheers, any chance of a link to who you bought it from as theres quite a few selling them on the bay of e..and the price seems to vary.

cheers, hadnt even seen that one.
did you purchase the warrenty with it?
Any feed back on it after playing with it for a while?
Is the sat nav any good on it..and does it come with maps?

Hi

Yes I compared a few different models and this one was the best IMO.

Yes it comes with maps and after using Tom Tom, the satnav on this unit is a lot better. It has never let me down.

The unit itself is also very good quality, and it looks very similar to the range rover units so it doesn't look out of place.
Hope this helps
