L322 Drive Fault

Hi.
I'm not sure what the problem is, hoping that it's not a major issue.
My 2003 l322 v8 HSE has developed an intermittent drive fault, where when in drive it feels like it in neutral.
Either we put in neutral then back to drive, or switch the engine on then straight back on and engage drive, she's away.
There has been no small or loud noises from the gearbox, and has happened thrice in the the past 2 weeks. Gear change is no different to a year ago.
I'm hoping that it's an electrical issue.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

What is the gearbox luid level like?

First thing is to check the fluid level in the box, checks its condition and also that of the filter!!

It's sat in the drive, until the guy next store at the garage has a chance to look. Thanks for replying.
