L322 2006 reverse camera intermittent fault?

good afternoon( been a while but I'm back!) my reverse camera on my 2006 vogue is more often showing a black screen( every now and again it works but is not great) so I presume it's either the camera or the connection to the camera!

Anyone took one of these of beforehand? Is it easy? And if the camera is fooked where is best to get a replacement?

Soon vehicles will be regarded as undriveable if the reverse camera, tyre pressure indicator or the automatic parallel parking are inoperative.

I find it very handy! Missing it now it's not working

As someone said to me the other day "does it start and drive? whats the problem then..." haha.

My first port of call would be to carefully remove it from the vehicle and make sure all the connectors for it are clean, dry and corrosion free?

I'm not familiar with the system but can you manually turn the camera on and of or does it just come on when you go into reverse? I realise its probably automatic as well but can it be manually activated?

At that money i will continue to use the towbar as an indicator. When you hear a crunch stop reversing.

Have you tried your MIRRORS?
