sorry if this has been done to death. i did a search but the results didn't really answer my qs.
heres the problem - 1997 rangerover, battery went dead after me leaving the lights on for 4 hours:doh: went to jump it and got the dreaded beep-beep-beep
message on the dash says 'key disabled'
now, what is the remedy??? should i fully charge the battery before doing anything else?
when i put power to the battery from another car the fob(buttons) didn't operate the c/l, nor did the key in the door. is this normal when the battery dies?
should programming the key through the door sort my prob? if so, what is the acutal sequence in which to do this?
thank you for your time and input
