Key fob

Hi
I got keyfob battery low and the engine disabled three weeks ago. I changed the batteries and it was ok. I got the same message and the engine disabled today. I used Maxam batteries which should be ok. Does anyone have any ideas?

its some thing you can fix but cant remember......
someone else will be along..

you can get refurb kits for the fob but i think your problem is the rf reciever picking up radio signals from wifi/door bells/alarms and other cars. the way to test is to remove the rf antenna cable located at the rear of the car beneath the parcel shelf support drivers side. you will have to get closer with the fob to unlock the car but at least it should cure the problem temorary until you get the gen 3 rf reciever upgrade!!

try it and see how you go. there is a method of how to tell if you have the old rf or the newer one, i can tell you that if you want to strip the rf unit down and have a look at the gubbins inside but the above method works as a quick fix in either case!!!
