key code fault

can any one help i have the key code and have used it in the past without any problems but now it keep telling me that the engine is disabled an to enter the key code it also cranks with the key out and sounds the horn ect i have not taken the battery off to stop this and recharge it

sounds like the other fella in this section.

i read about taking the neg leas off for 17 seconds and then replacing it can cure stuff. if it doesnt then just take lead off for half hour then try again with code!

i now have a big problem with the electyics as i put a new battery on it and it still shows engine disabled and when i left it without the key in it after 5 min it started to crank over and over i had to pull a lead off the battery i think the whole system is up the creek

The only thing that will get you past a keycode lockout is by applying the EKA code.

If that don't work then it's down to two things, first being the door switch itself. Just remove the whole latch & give it a good clean & refit.
The second is a becm lockout. This is when the becm alarms up & there's nothing you can do except remove the becm & send it off to be reset by a reputable company. & i don't mean Mtech. They WILL rip you off & tell you the becm has 17 faults or whatever. Total crap as the becm don't log any faults.
