Karcher wet-blaster, any good for cleaning alloys

I have used the kew version of that to clean some car parts, you will need kild dried sand and keep it dry, otherwise they clog up, easier said than done with all the water splashing about :p. The blasting takes off paint, rust and good metal, so you would end up with a matt finish if you used it on alloys.
 
Also the sand you use can block up your drains. and is not suitable for reuse. Soft alloy wheels are better left to experts, who have proper equiptment. You could easily ruin a set by using the wrong grade of grit. This said they are good but slow at moving rust and muck fron steel ie chassis springs and axles
