Just solved my new oil leak!

my TDi developed a bit of an oil leak last week and I've just been out to investigate. Turns out I hadn't tightened the two oil filter housing bolts up tight enough when I swapped it over for the one on my old N/A I've nipped them up, but I'll be surprised if it seals now what with oil infecting the gasket. Bugger!

Take it off, cornflakes packet (or be REALLY fancy and get a sheet of gasket paper) make up a gasket, add some hylormar - good as new - or order a new one... I have one here actually... I could email it to you...

Cheers They're cheap as chips anyway. I'd have to pay £2 odd for a packet of cornflakes. It'd only cost me 30p for the gasket! I'll sort it properly tomorrow
