Driving literally in the middle of knowhere today in work (near Bala, N Wales) and nearly went into the side of a Discovery4 TDV6 XS which i then followed for the next 4 miles until it eventually turned off. Ive seen pics of this disco on tinternet but didnt think it was out yet.

When returning to complete the job i was doing i mentioned it to the man of the house who was a bit of a landy buff and he then pointed to some forrested area about 1/2 mile from his house and told me that Landrover have a "quiet little spot" over there where they test drive thier stuff and mentioned that it could be a concept car going on a test drive before being launched.

I was just wondering if they are out yet or did i nearly wipe out a vision of the future?:)

What do you think of them? it reminded me a bit of what a new transit van crashing into the back of a new rangerover would look like!
 
Seen all around my area (Coventry) for past few months, I had a go in one at a country fair in about Sept 09, it was top of the range with 5 cameras, even a device for being able to hitch a trailer or c/van once you tell the computer the measurements of your van and programme the camera and on board pc, cameras watching each wheel and one up front that applies the break if ya gonna clobber sumat !!

Too much to mention but its totally redesigned from disco 3 from ground up, looks very similar tho!!

Too much electickery for my liking, too much to go wrong !
 
I saw one driving through town the other day, looked identical to the disco 3 appart from the number on the back.
 
On a serious note having looked at a D4 and a 2010 Rangey in a dealers, tuther day. Why the **** would anyone pay and extra £40k for a rangey when they'res absolutely fookall to choose from between the 2 in terms of looks, toys and trim levels. :confused:

Certainly ain't got an extra £40k worth of improvements in the Rangey.
 
Had one at work day after they come out a while back now. I personally hated them but after driving at least 3-4 disco 3s a week i have grown to them they are loverly cars. but to dam complex!
 
I think they lost it looks wise with the 3, but saying that they are growing on me as time goes by, my favourite is the Disco2 facelift then the disco1 facelift personally. Im tryin to save my pennies:), but i enjoy spending them on beer:(
 
last year while driving to notts down the M1 i saw the brand new design for the landrover concept driving south. according to the news articles about this concept it isnt decided on a production date but as i saw it was being tested on the roads now.

had it not have had bits of foam and tape over the front and rear bumpers, lights and wings i wouldnt have taken any notice of it. it didnt do it for me though. i first thought it was a jap test vehicle untill i saw a picture of a 'new land rover concept' vehicle in a car mag, according to this mag it was a concept and there was no plans to produce it.
