Hi everyone I need advice. My old and, up until now, trusty 1985 90 is over reving. At first it's okay then after a few minutes it starts to race - very disconcerting when waiting at lights in the middle of town. My mechanic chappy changed the cam belt after I broke down with no fuel to the injectors not long ago. The problem then was a seal going between the pump and the cam belt casing. Diesel was spraying onto the cam belt. After that it was fine for a couple of weeks then the old problem started again. He then tied off, what he called, the cold weather regulator on top of the pump and again it was fine for a couple of weeks but it's now started once more. I'm at my wits end. Can anyone suggest a reason for this odd behaviour. A new pump is a little beyond my resources these days.
