Hi there. Ive being doing a bit of research on quick access to the battery and have come across anderson connectors... My question is, for a 300tdi how many amps with be drawn when jump starting and charging the battery with a fast charger. As if possible, would prefer a smaller connector to save kicking if i place it on the edge of the seatbox. Also any ideas on wire size? I have done a search a couldnt re-find this info.. Any help greatly appreciated

However these are only 175amp

Buster says use 300amp. Id be inclined to make up my own using 300amp

Wow, thanks for the quick replys that fantastic. Think im going to make up my own for jump starting. I think im also going to use one of anderson 50amp connector to connect a t maxx compressor, or do you think the 175 amp connector will be ok. Mind you i see that as being over kill as its fairly big with small wires?

ahh never thought of that, i thought that they were different sizes though. Or are they? and may they still fit together?

No they won't fit together. 50 Amp is about matchbox size. 175 amp is about fag packet size.

I have both sizes on my landy.

All our breakdown trucks at work have 175 amp Andersons on em for jump starting both 12 and 24 volt vehicles and we've never melted a connector yet. I also use 17d amp andersons on my winch and again have had no problems yet.
