jate rings/ a bar

hi there...
i have got a a bar fitted to the front of my disco 1 1997.. it fits on the front of the chassis befind the valance..
i was thinking of fitting some jate rings just in case..
can i fit the jate rings with the a bar in place or do they fit in the same holes?
i get the impression that they fit in the same place and the extra width of the chassis due to the added thickness in the a bar fitments will make it too wide for the jate rings...

I'm not sure what fixings the a bar uses, I don't have one.
I had Jate rings on the front for a while and used the the bottom fixing where the bumper is bolted to the chassis. Just make sure its not going to catch on anything!

You may find that with a valance the Jate rings will not give you much room and may get stuck under/behind the valance, I have had the problem on a Guys Disco that had Jate rings and a valance and had a problem when the shakels got stuck behind the vallance perhaps it was a one of problem but hey its a pain in a muddy place and even worse in the dark.

Just fit a steering guard and/or remove the valance , the valance will prob be riped of at some stage anyway....

if i hd my way.. the valance would be off.. its got the fogs in.. minus most of the fogs!
lift, bigger mud tyres..tree sliders, roof bar lights back on, but mrs is bleating.. wants to go on holiday or some such waste of muny..
women! no idea have they when if comes to having fun!

someone had stolen the sills b4 i bought it... i welded some more on really well.. hopefully nobody will sneak up an steal these when i'm not lookin..
an the holes in the floor r there to let the water out that leaks in through the sunroofs.. apparently its a free mod?

Mine also had fogs, all removed now as after my first trip the valance was catching and broke the fixings between the front wing and corner caps.
I've kept the wiring for the fogs and when £ available Ill be fitting a light bar and utilizing the existing wiring and dash switch.
I also think the Disco looks good without the valance.

mine had no fogs in the valance when i got it... there are two fogs in the a bar using the original wiring...
