Well.. I've lost power on my Disco…
I think I know what the problem is, but just wanted another opinion to confirm this..

On my 200, there's a elbow hose off the turbo that goes back to IC, as there was a split on that hose, I ordered some new rubber hoses and fitted them.
They were a real pain to fit as they are hard has fok and to slide them in took me ages!!

So, I've fitted that elbow hose and the top hose from the top of IC to engine.

Since doing this… I've lost power.

A hill near where I live that I would previously do easily in 3rd gear, yesterday I struggled to go up in 2nd!!
I tighten up the jubilee clips around the hoses quite a bit, but am I right in thinking that this loss of power is probably due to a leak somewhere where I've been playing?

Is there a way I can check if there's a leak?
I must be sure that this is all quite tight as I really don’t want the turbo to be sucking in water when I go wading…

cheers
JP

well.. i've checked all the hoses I replaced yesterday, they all seem fine....
also the wastgate is open freely, not stuck at all...

it feels like I have no turbo boost.... any ideas what to look for? where to start?
I was thinking maybe taking the pipe that goes from the fuel pump to the turbo and check if its not blocked?

mmhh.. good thought, might change that and clean the fuel sedimenter?

if the sedimenter or/and fuel filter is full of crap would that take an effect on the power?

well.. the one that was in there was really soft and even had a little split on it and was working fine.

these new ones are rubber, but very hard, was a fokin pain to slide them in.
definately a lot harder than the ones that were there.
