It's happened again!

I'm Chris, an old fart who lives about 20 miles west of Glasgow with a strange affliction that involves having extra large lumps of metal outside the house.

Yes, that overwhelming urge to have a Landy on the drive has reared its ugly head once more. Will i never learn? It's about 6 years since I last had one and I just can't go without any longer.

So I am now avidly hunting for my latest wallet emptier. Probably going to try and find a Disco 1 tdi 300 (the girlfriend likes a bit of comfort nowadays) and from previous experience I know my dream v8i is just that - a dream. There is no way I could currently live with 12 -14mpg much as I love that burble on tickover and the whooosh as a gallon of fuel rushes through the injectors as kickdown takes place.

Sure will - seems to me that as soon as I start seriously looking prices start rising and the quality may not be as stated.

It's really hard making the head rule and not rushing out and buying the first one that comes along. But I will wait - a bargain would be nice but just plain old value for money will do fine.

It's been well worth reading through the forums here for some up to date knowledge.
