After weeks of waitng for good weather and then laying under the beast in freezing cold days to change a spring, and hub seals and brakes and so on
not to mention the welding.
I finaly got round to tidying up the garage as it looked like a set from a world war movie, of an area that just been blitzed, with odds and ends scattered here from painting, plumbing carpentry jobs not to mention landrover bits thrown in for good measure.
So yesterday I decided as it was pishing doon, and the fact that I wasnt really in the mood for landy work as the next door neighbour passed away yesterday morning, that it was time to bite the bullet and tidy the S**T hole up, so after filling the wheelie bin and a neighbours with ods and ends, ( I know the saying never throw anything away as you never know when you need it) so I have 2 bits of welding to do for the mot I thought ill put the nose in the garage as i can get that in and work under cover, this is good so in she goes and i waiting for the roof to catch the door, no ok in a bit further, Blooming heck it fits bit the door wont close, Ha Ha I thougth I was right it wont fit, but then the cogs worred in the head( well I think it was my head it could have been MY foot) what if I reverse it in,
and as they say the rest is history, she goes in and the door closes, ok due to the stuff I have bolted to the wall I have to use the passenger side to get out but
IT FITS!!!!!!
:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
why didnt I tidy the garage before????//

I have to take the roof off to

Did, momentarily (and just the once), consider making some groves/ruts to drop it down but as garage is in a block thought it might p**s the neighbours off, especially with all the diesel smoke chucked out now and again!

What difference can the parabolics make to the height? cause mine looks bit higher than norfolkmicks.

Most paras give you a ride height of about 1'' higher than std springs but most folk dont fit them until their springs are knackered and flat giving more like 3-4'' lift.

You could always let the tyres down some to get in if its tight

The height of my landy at the back end is 6' 7" to the roof, allow an extra inch for the ridges,
if you look at the photo you will see it says 7'7" this is due to me starting at 1 foot due to a bit of my tape is missing
Tyres are 750 x 16
standard 11 leaf springs

Do I have a heater?
you can take your pick from a small fan heater, a RedRad or a space heater, you need to be able to get warm lol, but if your cold then your not working hard enough, (use a bigger hammer)
and as for the missus that does teas, sorry thats a DIY job but the kettle is only a few steps away lol you need a good cuppa in between jobs lol,
