That is not a 2001 engine. Not with an alloy manifold it isn't. Has a MAF though so maybe had an engine change.

I ask him the question back in october and the reply I got was I rebuilt the original engine seems a very funny car with a non original engine.

If it is a 2001 with a pre egr engine I would expect it not to work unless he changed all the wiring loom etc

Things that spring to mind are:
Egr valve
Maf
Third temp sender in head

Whilst looking at the pics it seems it could be a 2001 and he has fitted a alloy inlet as he still has the maf sensor in the pipe and it looks connected

Engine would not need any looms to work properly. Only thing missing is EGR valve and the third sensor which is an easy fit. Engine would run normally less EGR.
