Freelander 1 Isofix fittings?

Does my 2006 TD 4 have isofix fittings for a child car seat? Or is this a more modern concept and younger than my FL?
I can't say that I have noticed anything that could be it but not really taken much notice until now.
I need to get a safety seat for my 1 year old grandson.

No ISO FIX on the FL1. This standard came along many years after the FL1 was first conceived.

I suspected as much.
I need to do some more research then. No strict regulations when my children were young.

In our FL1 (admittedly a 1998) we use a forward facing type seat attached via the standard seatbelt.....there are many who say this is a more superior method that a rigid fix, as the seatbelt will 'give' and disipate the energy of impact over a greater time period than a rigidly fixed seat mounted via ISOfix....

Notwithstanding the above, the ISOFix is a 'fool-proof' method of ensuring the seat is fitted correctly and securely whereas the seatbelt method can get cocked up by those none-so diligent in such affairs.....and is sooooo much easier to get in and out if you need to remove it.....

Don't forget, you can't put a child seat in the front because of the airbag!

Did they not include it on later vehicles? My 2004 td5 D2 has Isofix on it.

Yeah, you have to disable the air bag which you can't do on a FL1.

No FL1 had Isofix.
