P38A is this a warning of problems to come?

Morning all, had a bulb failure message on the dash but all lights ok.

Bad contact, filament making and breaking or a sign of problems to come? Still full of flu from before Christmas so I'll let it develope.

98 2.5 diesel manual.

Damp weather where you are?
I have found that false positives abound when there's some damp air in the car. I get a warning on the dash, but nothing wrong with the bulb concerned.

It's England Dan,of course it's damp.the car's not been used since Christmas eve so you are probably right. Thanks we're on the mend, nursery is ill as well.

Even here Alan. Hope you get over the Flu soon, not been a good year for you has it? I had the Flu last Christmas, took ages to get back to full strength.

Thanks for your kind thoughts Kieth, getting there.went out in the car before and got the bulb failure warning again but this time it said tail light , all were working do I'll check them out tomorrow.

Not a hope in hell.coil conversions are for those that don't understand the system and are incapable of repairing /maintaining same.

Checked the tail light bulbs today and one was black which I believe is a sign of imminent burn out.
