Is this a decent PAS pump?

G for genuine, which it would be if its from an Original Equipment Manufacturer and supplied to Land Rover.

It would have been better to provide link directly to the actual item other than eBay. :(

Well eBay seems popular for this item, any way it's competitively priced with these people whom I have used in the passed https://www.lrdirect.com/QVB101240-...6YSSoIKrxcD7mfXUZI1SYpGHJ1tGpN9YaAoe0EALw_wcB
There's one seller on eBay that states that the pump is "OEM quality", then further down it's an aftermarket product :(

I forget their website sometimes! cheers. I'll go for the OEM one, 2 year warranty, LRD approved good for me!

Anything else I need? Seals? Gaskets? etc?

Thanks!

I did mine just before Christmas and it was surprisingly easy as all the bolts can be accessed from the front with the fan out of the way and the pulley off. On the LR Direct website it recommends changing the O ring on one of the pipes but I don't think I did. Plenty of Loc-tite on the pulley bolts on reassembly as they are apt to unwind as you're driving around once they have been disturbed. I lost a couple shortly after reassembly but everything's fully Loc-tited now and OK as far as I know.

Christ guna have to take the fan off. Not sure its been off since it was fitted in 2004! lol I've got bundles of orings so hopefully got the right ones. I'll order parts now then!

Cheers chaps!

yep LR Direct are my go to now, and i always buy the OEM, LRD approved items even though you have to wait a few extra days for delivery

Seeing as you like TD5s it might be worth buying some TD5 fan spanners. They make things a whole lot easier and I've used mine a great deal. A lot of stuff round the front of the engine is easier to get at with the fan out of the way.

Here you go, simple bar 8mm x 40mm ish. holes drilled to fit different flanges as required, plus will also fit the td5 fan pulley bolts.
