Introduction

Hi all,
New to the group, but been logged on to it for a year or so.
Bought my first Landy - 88" series 3 in a rough state, but it was cheap so its a project.
Yesterday I started to take the front end apart to assess the chassis & just found a pile of rust - both leaf springs are rotted away from the front dumb irons and their are holes of varying sizes back to the bulkhead (surprisingly nothing within 4" of any anchor points).
What thickness would the chassis have been fabricated from originally?
