I am thinking of moving my spare wheel from my Bonnet to the bulkhead behind the seats in my 109, I like the spare on the bonnet but it ends up a filthy mess with trees growing in it from all the seeds that drop in there, I think I've found an original one on Ebay, but there are so many different types, I'd like to keep it original, does anybody use this setup and is the attached photo the correct fitting.

looks like the one in mine, this one has the whole thing

not sure on the price but I think you can still buy the whole thing new, maybe as different pieces
Thankyou, I'll take a look at that one on Ebay, been trawling through tech drawings, not a lot of info about them, I think the bulkhead has pre-drilled holes for it as well. Mine has some pretty awful old parabolic springs on it, more weight at the back seems to make it a smoother ride.

iirc mine already had the bulkhead attachment I just had to get the bolt, wingnut and bit that holds the wheel in. Normally have the wheel on the back door but when the top is off in summer I switch to tailgate and wheel on the bulkhead.

have a spare bonnet with wheel attachment I bought but never got round to painting it and swapping, only had it 3 years :D

Put a wheel cover on it? If you do though make sure to reinforce the cente or else it will balloon and you won't see where you are going.
Some LWB have a trough in the tub where the front rivetted panels are and the spare sits in it.

On our series 3 bonnet mounted we had a cover and popped a thin sheet of marine ply on the wheel under the cover - keeps it from ballooning or filling with rainwater and washing the screen when clouting a bump in the road ...

that used to annoy me on a previous series, when you lift he bonnet after it has been raining and loads of water sloshes down into the back of engine bay :D
The one that done it for me was when I went out one morning and loads of those helicopter seed things had germinated inside it, it was like a small forest lol

Mine fils up with water, fine until I hit 50 on the local by-pass, then it all comes out over the screen in one go!
Have a spare wheel cover but it balloons, need to sort that - will copy idea above.
