Any ideas gratefully received, my wife has been driving our Disco 2 Td5 Auto for the past few weeks and all has been well until a couple of days ago she thought it didn't feel right and was vibrating and sounding like it was not firing on all cylinders, especially at low revs. Her best explanation was as if it was a manual car going to stall in to higher gear at a junction if you get my drift.
It didn't happen all the time and when it was re-fuelled seemed to go away. Then yesterday she said it happened again.
I have been driving it around today and can't really notice much wrong. Maybe an occasional lumpiness at idle/low revs, say at a junction but drives through it ok on acceleration.
Hopefully someone may be able to give me a bit of a clue as to what may be the issue. I will probably look at the normal things that seem to cause problems on the Td5 after looking around this site, i.e MAF etc.
One other thing, when I was driving it today I turned the radio, heater off etc so I could listen and just occasionally I could hear a soft whirring sound coming from what sounded like the near sidebulkhead area in the cockpit. Could this be something or I have I just not heard it before cause I usually have the radio on.
Sorry for the extended essay. Look forward to speaking to some of you soon.
Cheers
Jason.
